After a brief engagement as the Chief Consultant of Microbits Consulting Limited, based in Abuja, Owokoniran took on his current role in the public service. He is also a former Head of the Collections Group of United Bank for Africa Plc Nigeria North. In his positions, he has advocated for the use of electronic service platforms and an automated revenue generation system in Nigeria. He is also a writer and a speaker.
